Saturday May 4th the “Vegetable Gardening Basics” class will begin at 9:00 AM with “What’s That I See” to follow at 10:45 AM. Each class is projected to be 1.5 hours.

“Take a Few Simple Steps for Lawn Success” will focus on mowing, fertilizing, and watering to make your lawn an environmental aspect. Following that class, “The Good and Bad of Lawn Problems” will provide further lawn education on winterkill, leafspot, chinch bugs, grubs, and more!

The class “Vegetable Gardening Basics” will provide tips on preparing and planning your garden, along with some tips on harvest and timing. “What’s That I See?” continues on to teach insect and disease problems, as well as what to look out for during the upcoming Spring Garden Season.

Light refreshments will be served and, as additional courtesies, soil pH testing will be available along with a variety of publications to purchase, and free handouts on gardening topics and pests. The cost of the series is as follows; $10 for each individual day, $15 for both. Drop-ins will be charged $15 per day. We ask for pre-registration and payments be submitted by April 22.
