Making the Most of Geographic Preference Bidding

The USDA allows schools to use Geographic Preference when sending out bids for foods to be used on school lunch menus. This presentation will highlight how Broome Tioga BOCES has effectively used Geographic Preference bidding in their Farm to School program, what items they’ve purchased using Geographic Preference, and discuss what goes into developing a bid to use it for the greatest benefit of your Farm to School program.
