Come join the Capital Region PRISM a Partnership for Regional Invasive Species Management and Cornell Cooperative Extension of Columbia Greene Counties Agroforestry Resource Center for a woods walk.
The event will feature a 1.5 mile walk and discussion showcasing sustainable forestry practices to promote resilient and healthy ecosystems. The walk will be presented by Kristopher Williams Capital PRISM Coordinator
and Tracey Testo CCE Agroforestry and Natural Resources Educator .
-Habitat enhancements riparian buffers.
-Assessing tree stand improvement methods.
-Identification & control of invasive species including forest pest
-Agroforestry options to grow a bountiful and diverse woodlands with native plants.
-Receive a forest health scorecard to assess your own property.
The event is part of the New York State
Invasive Species Awareness Week
