1st Annual Water Chestnut Pull Day

The Rensselaer Land Trust, Brookfield Renewable Energy Group, and the Hoosic River Watershed Association are joining forces to control the invasive water chestnut that is choking the Johnsville Dam Boat Launch. Bring your boat and/or waders if you have them (limited number will be available) and join the crew. No special skills required, just a willingness to help and get wet and dirty!

Our goal is to clear a path and make the launch usable for the year. Come for an hour or the whole day.

Lunch and snacks provided to volunteers by the Johnsonville FD Ladies Auxiliary.
