About Us

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Saratoga County is a subordinate governmental agency with an educational mission that operates under a form of organization and administration approved by Cornell University as agent for the State of New York. It is tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The association is part of the national cooperative extension system, an educational partnership between County, State, and Federal governments. As New York’s land grant university Cornell administers the system in this state. Each Cornell Cooperative Extension association is an independent employer that is governed by an elected Board of Directors with general oversight from Cornell. All associations work to meet the needs of the counties in which they are located as well as state and national goals.

Greg Stevens Named Interim Executive Director of Cornell Cooperative Extension of Saratoga County Effecutive July 1, 2026

Greg Stevens has been named Interim Executive Director for Cornell Coopera ve Extension of Saratoga County. Greg brings more than 28 years of experience to the role. He began his career in 4-H Youth Development, where he was hired to provide classroom educa on through the School Outreach Program while also administering an Academic Enrichment Program during the summer months. During this me, Greg developed and administered the highly successful Reality Check Youth Empowerment Program, and later partnered with school districts to strengthen an-smoking policies through the Tobacco-Free Schools Program. In 2015, Greg was promoted to 4-H and Family and Consumer Sciences Issue Leader. In 2023, he was appointed Assistant Director, where he assumed responsibility for the Adirondack Welcome Center Taste NY Program and expanded his work to include collabora on with the agriculture team. Greg received a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communica ons from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Pla sburgh in 1993 and went back to SUNY Pla sburgh for a master’s degree in Science in Liberal Studies- Administra on and Leadership, gradua ng in 2011. “I’m extremely excited about the next chapter for CCE Saratoga,” said Stevens. “We have an incredibly talented staff, and it is an honor to work with such dedicated individuals while providing leadership to this Associa on on an interim basis—and hopefully con nuing in a full-me role in the future. I’ve learned from the best over the years, and I hope to carry forward their outstanding quali es in this new endeavor.”
