4-H

Welcome to Saratoga County 4-H, we’re glad you are here! We strive every day to help youth become competent, caring and contributing members of society. Through our 4-H Club Program, Special Interest Programs and School Outreach Programming we provide diverse, hands-on learning experience for youth. 4-H also looks to create healthy youth-adult partnerships with our network of caring local volunteers. Volunteer here!

We look forward to connecting with you!

4-H has a powerful impact on youth by helping them build confidence, leadership skills, and a strong sense of responsibility. Through hands-on projects in areas like agriculture, science, health, STEM and community service, young people learn valuable life skills such as teamwork, communication, and problem-solving. 4-H also encourages goal setting and independence, allowing participants to take ownership of their learning and achievements. In addition, the programs fosters positive relationships with mentors and peers, creating a supportive environment that helps youth grow into capable, caring, and engaged citizens.

Each year, roughly half a million youth from urban, suburban, and rural communities across New York participate in 4-H experiences. 4-H programs are offered in a number of research-tested outreach strategies: school enrichment and after-school programs, camp settings and community clubs. Additionally, fairs and festivals offer youth an opportunity to demonstrate their skills and earn recognition for their best work.
