Seed Libraries in Saratoga County

Cornell Cooperative Extension (CCE) Saratoga Seed Libraries are an equal access, shared community resource that provide visitors with free seeds and the education on how to grow them successfully. Our Seed Libraries do not include a borrow & return system. Instead, we supply research-proven knowledge that guides participants on how to “return” the seeds back to their own gardens next year.

These libraries can be found throughout Saratoga County. In the best interest of each community member who visits our libraries, we encourage you to kindly take what you need, and leave what you don’t. Below is a list of current host locations. Please note that seed stock will vary at each. “Opening” dates of the libraries also vary, and you may consider calling the location before visiting.

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Saratoga extends a warm “Thank You” to the generous local businesses who donated their seed overstock to supply these libraries throughout Saratoga County. While some of our donors would like to remain anonymous, we’ve received seeds from Bentley Seed Company in Cambridge, Hewitt’s Garden Center in Wilton, and Healthy Living Market & Café in Saratoga.
