Dear 4-H Organizational Leaders and Individual
Members:
It is time to prepare
for Public Presentation Day!
Public Presentation Day is a nationally recognized
element of the Cooperative Extension 4-H Youth Development Program. This public speaking event is one of 4-H's
most beneficial and rewarding experiences. It is the program most often credited by4-H alumni as having given them an edge
above their peers in high school, college, and into their adult careers.
All 4-H’ers, from Cloverbuds to 4-H teens, have the chance to stand up
and clearly and confidently present a topic of their choice. It can be a specific project or recipe, a
skill they have mastered, or a topic they are passionate about.
Please note- on the registration form- it is important to fill in the Estimated
time of day
the 4-H’er or club would like to present. The 4-H’er will be scheduled within the hour
on the form unless notified otherwise by phone or e-mail.
New to 4-H?If your club would
like to hear about this experience from a fellow4-H’er, there is a PowerPoint available and a
teen will attend a club meeting and share their experience.
Make up policy: If you have a conflict on March 4th,
please call the 4-H Office to schedule an appointment/time for a
make-up on
Thursday, March 8th between 4:30 and 7:30pm at the Cooperative
Extension Office. There are no make ups
for interviews.
For those 4-H’ers participating in Horse Communications, you will be
judged March 4th, 9am-12pm, at the 4-H Training Center. Basic Horse Communications
information can be found on the last page of this letter.
If you have any
questions about Public Presentation Day 2023 or would like to register, please
