Becoming a 4-H Volunteer Leader
4-H Leaders play a vital role in shaping the experiences and growth of young people by serving as mentors, role models, and guides. They help create a supportive environment where youth can explore new interests, develop skills, and build confidence through hands-on learning and community involvement. Becoming a 4-H Leader is rewarding because it offers the opportunity to make a lasting difference in the lives of youth while also growing personally in leadership, communication, and teamwork. Leaders inspire responsibility, encourage positive values, and help youth reach their full potential, making a meaningful impact not only on individuals but also on the broader community.
All potential adult 4-H volunteers must go through our screening process and introductory education class. Contact Leland Bunting at the 4-H office for a leader information packet.
